SASSOON ACADEMY AND SCREEN

 

 

Location: Commonwealth Avenue, Boston

 

 

In Association with Neshamkin French Architects, Inc. 

 

This six story, 90,000 square foot aesthetics university and dormitory, is a flagship for a new brand of aesthetics as elevated design. French 2D worked  in association with Neshamkin French Architects on the Academy.

 

A major design focus for French 2D was on an undulat­ing 3 story metal screen acting as both a diffused form of landmark signage and as a shield for the lounge spaces of the dormitory.

 

The project was taken through Permit Set (with Construction Documents and Permit Set led by Anda French) but is currently undergoing a change in client and program. A Redesign is anticipated.
